Blogging... Who has Time for this?

As a small business owner I understand that time is the biggest factor in maintaining a blog.

The fact is most businesses and web developers struggle with how to use a blog. Here's my thought...

The question I ask business owners who want to have a blog is... What do you want to put into the blog? In most cases they want to put content into it that should really be in another section of the website.

I have seen web developers use blogs for sections of the site that the business owner wanted to be able to control the content. This is an inappropriate use for a blog. The web developer would have been better off using a basic content management system (CMS) tool.

A good use for a blog is:

• Articles
• Newsletters
• Press Releases
